Class Details
Homework
Our class routine: Mrs. Roy posts a hard copy of what we cover each day, in class, near station #9. She also has a class student planner that she writes homework, upcoming assessments, important dates, etc. and projects up onto our whiteboard. We all write in planners at the same time to avoid surprises.
Assessments
We REVIEW prior to any test or quiz. Many times, a KEY is on our website, so please look for one to study.
Assessment Retake Procedure and Policy:
In order to be eligible for a retake on an assessment, you must pick up and fill out a "Mulligan," re-study that particular target/concept (look over your notes inside your binder and your review sheet) have a parent sign the bottom of your yellow (golden opportunity) mulligan sheet, and set up a time with Mrs. Roy to re-take the assessment. Just like in golf, this is a “second chance” to improve. It is provided for students that want the opportunity to show growth and understanding on a particular concept. Students must take the re-assessment within 7 school days (not including weekends) of the original assessment. The score earned on the retake will be the new score on infinite campus. (If it is lower, plan on receiving that lower score.) No retakes will be scheduled during the last week of each trimester. If it seems that an individual student is abusing the retake policy, a conference will be scheduled and the opportunity to retake tests and quizzes may be revoked.
